Workshop description:
This class is for students who would like to refine and develop their composition skills and improve their photographic seeing, while telling stories with their photographs. Students will develop a heightened sensitivity to their surroundings while photographing in a variety of urban environments. During group critique we will analyze what works — and what doesn’t — in an image, which will help students create dynamic photographs. Discussions include compositional tools, aesthetic intentions and effective editing. A comparative study of historical and contemporary photographers and filmmakers is presented.
藝術家Anja Hitzenberger介紹：
ICP）的成員，教授“新媒體敘事”（NMN）和“紀錄片實踐和視覺新聞”（DOC）課程，同時持續於教育札根。赫辛柏格曾於北京，丹麥，奧地利，柏林和紐約教授攝影工作坊。她是StrudelmediaLIVE的創始人，該網站為來自世界各地的學生提供實時在線互動攝影課程。她的作品主要關注身體與建築和空間之間的關係，同時，他也關注飲食以及食物間的相關主題。安雅屢次獲得不同的藝術獎助，她的作品曾在歐洲，美國，南美和亞洲的電影節和戲劇舞台上展出。出生自奧地利薩爾茨堡，目前主要工作往返於紐約和維也納之間

1.本工作坊8/17與8/24的課程是連接的，不須分開報名⋯⋯
2.上課使用器材、物品如下：
(1)10 prints of your own photographs (size A4 or similar; simply their favorite images, or a project)
(2) 3 prints of photos you are not happy with, so we can discuss what the problems are
(4) camera, lenses, card reader, batteries (charged batteries!)
(5) if you don’t want to bring prints, you can also bring jpg-files instead; please bring them on a USB-stick or an external hard drive, but not on a tablet or laptop, because we will project the photos from the computer (the image size should be at least 2000px on the long side)
